We are delivering Pies (fruit pies AND pizza pies) to our representatives next week. The Peace Alliance is coordinating it nation-wide and apparently there are over 110 congressman that will be visited. The idea is that we are asking only for a small "piece of the pie" meaning the pie chart that represents the federal budget. The Department of Peace is asking for less than 1% - about the same amount of cash we are spending on war per month today.
It's not that much when you think about it. And that little bit of prevention could mean a lot savings in the future. Violence costs $$$ and lots of it.
